•  INSTRUCTION PROCEDURES

Please note for Epson large-scale printers, there are two parts need to be resetted:one is the ink cartridge,the other is the maintenance. They resetting method is the same. 

1. Align the cartridge to the correct notch on the reset unit so that the chip contacts and  the pins on the QE388-3 resetter meet 
2. Keep the two units in the firm contact. If the red light is blanking, it shows the two units contact well
3. if the red light turns to green, it show the reset operation is successful
4. Cartridge is now ready for refilling with dye ink or other brand ink (compatible ink as well)

•  Troubleshooting

           a) After the red LED flash, it stays on and does not turn green

1. The pins on the QE388-3 Resetter are not in good contact with the chip on the cartridge.  the contact may be dirty or oily.
2. If the ink cartridge is not an original Epson brand ink cartridge, the chip may be not compatible with the QE388-3 Ink Level Resetter. 
3. If the ink cartridge is an original Epson brand ink cartridge, the chip may be burned out or Epson may have changed the chip design. But the QE388-3 Resetter still can work with this kind of ink cartridge to reset and fulfill the level, only the green light would not shine. 

          b) The printing effect is not good

1. The quality os the ink you are using may be inferior. We recommend using inks that are specifically matched to Epson original colors and other characteristics. ( Especially if yoare printing digital photographes)
2. Air bubbles entrapped in ink. To avoid this, inject the ink very slowly. Also, allow the cartridge to reset for 24 hours with the ink exit nozzles facing down before using.

• Attention

          you shouldn't use this resetter after the ink is used up completely,you should reset it when the ink is up to 1/3 in the cartridge
